It's always better to plan ahead of time. You don't know what kind of games are coming and how much RAM they may need, in probably 2 or 3 years everyone may need to upgrade their RAM while you keep it as it is. :)
I remember last year when 4GB of RAM was A LOT. Now my 4 GB is the minimum for running my games on highest settings.

richard have you buyed this pc especially for gaming? if so i7 is not a good choice its to expensive i would of go with a i5 3570k which is not so different from i 7 and is way cheaper  :)


anddd also for these new games there are coming out right now if you want to play everything at ultra n such for years to come you should of get  a GPU with at least 2gb of VRAM the life span of the GPU is way bigger .
